New Bus Day aka Members of the Two Bird Club.

We already had a bus, a wonderful 1983 Bluebird Wanderlodge FC, but were thinking of upgrading to something a bit newer in the Wanderlodge / BMC world. We had found a 97 BMC 37 and called the person selling it for them, but besides an immediate response saying “will call you back”, we never actually heard back. We were cash buyers and wanted to fly in the next day to inspect and close a deal but maybe it just wasn’t meant to be. I feel bad for the seller, as of this date the bus is still for sale.

While waiting for the seller agent to (never) call us back we saw on facebook marketplace a 1996 Bluebird BMC 40 (sister of the Wanderlodge) just an hour away. After a quick inspection we were cash buyers, the deal was done. Sometimes things happen for a reason! I think we got a great coach, only 40,228 miles with the original blue box, well documented maintenance activities and access to prior owners for questions. We were lucky to find a BMC that was so well cared for just an hour away!

Now the obvious problem, we just joined what they call the “Two Bird Club”. Yup, we have two busses, probably two more than we really need! Keep an eye out, will be selling our 83 Wanderlodge FC soon, it will go fast for sure!
